Write down the day(s) you can fly, leaving your name, number and whether or not you are able to drive.
New guys will leave Leeds at 0800. Experienced guys will leave Leeds at 0700. Both cars will return to Leeds early evening (after sunset). This is true for both days.
Please understand we have to operate a first come first serve system to due to limited spaces. If you don’t manage to get on this week’s gliding trip, then you will have priority to go Gliding the following weekend. There will be plenty of opportunities to fly throughout the year though, so don’t despair if you don’t manage to get a space. It usually quietens down after a couple of months following intro week!

There is only 1 car available on Saturday, but we will not be sending people on the bus as one of the gliders is reserved for instructor training this Saturday.

Both Days Heading up on Friday and staying in the clubhouse 1. Tom Elliot 2. Stu Malcolm
Remember to bring money to pay for the flying and a Cheque book if you own one, else you'll probably be receive LOTS of silver change! Also remember £3 for the drivers, log books and training records (if you have them already) and enough money for food and drink unless you plan on bringing your own (food isn't expensive at the club though).
Make sure you have warm clothing too because the airfield is quite exposed and the wind is ruddy cold at times! Sunglasses are a good idea too.
Apologies to those who are unable to come along this weekend due to the limited spaces; we try to keep a good mix of experienced members to new members though to ensure the ground operations run as smoothly as possible, enabling optimum flight numbers. There will be plenty more chance to fly in the near future though and you will have priority on the next weekend's trip.
Call me on 07854107695 if you have any queries. I'm very surprised at this week's lack of cars; there were more cars than we needed last weekend!. Cheers Tom
Out of interest (and lots of hope!!!) a rather expensive pair of North Face gloves went walkabout last weekend up at dishforth. I am there this weekend so will be double checking and hunting round for them but if you have any idea where they or or can send my way any knowledge to their whereabouts I would really really really apprecaite it as it cold this week and so did my hands! :-(
The #36 does not stop at Briggate Street this week due to road works on that road; it diverts around it instead. Stu and I just found out the hard way so we are going to have to head up to Dishforth tomorrow morning as we missed the last bus of the day; there are no signs to warn about this change of service.
Everyone planning on getting the bus on Sunday must make sure they get the 36 from the bus station and arrive there a few minutes earlier. The bus station is only a few minutes down the road from Briggate Street.
